A STRICTLY Come Dancing star hot-footed it to Bradford to create a 'wow' in a special masterclass at Bradford College.
Ian Waite, a former dancer in the show and current co-presenter of BBC 2's Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, put more than 40 eager students aged from six to 70 through their paces in a class designed to use ballroom and dance steps to increase fitness and promote dance as a great form of exercise.
The event was held in the Trinity Green Campus, in Eastby Road, yesterday and had been organised by Charlene Barraclough who runs Believe Ballroom Dance Centre, in Sunbridge Road, Bradford.
"We had a fabulous time and there must have been around 15 first-timers come along too. Ian led from the stage going through sequences and we did the steps at the same time from the floor. He covered lots of dances such as the waltz, jive, flamenco, paso doble and American smooth. He was brilliant.
The centre is open six days a week teaching all styles of dance from ballroom, to Latin American and salsa.
