A FORMER primary school near Winchcombe built in the early 20th century has gone on sale.

The school in Toddington has been put on sale by the Department for Education.

The building has gone on sale for a guide price of £275,000, being marketed by Bruton Knowles.

Robert Smith, from the firm's Gloucester office, said the school was built in 1906 and fronted the B4077, between Toddington and Winchcombe.

“The school was latterly used as the infant base for the Isbourne Valley Primary School but closed in October 2015 when the school amalgamated on a single site at Didbrook," Mr Smith said.

"It is now being sold with a view to conversion subject to planning permission.

“The school floorplate covers a total of 1,606 sq ft and includes a main building and two classrooms."

The former playing field, at the rear of the property, has not been included in the sale.
