A COTSWOLDS mum donned some unusual outfits as she took part in a week of fundraising.

Claire Boffin, who lives in Chipping Norton, was inspired to fundraise for a breast cancer charity after her two close friends were diagnosed with the disease.

After one was given the all clear, only a few days later her other friend went for a routine check up only to the discover the cancer was back.

Claire said: "I came up with a plan - I am the friend who is always up for a laugh and a little bit bonkers.

"I decided to make them a few memories of my own, to make them smile, ridicule myself and raise some funds."

Her innovative fundraiser saw her children dressing her in crazy clothes each day for a week, between July 18 and 24.

The fundraiser raised more than £400 for the Breast Cancer Now charity, as well as receiving support from Blenheim Palace, Crocodiles of the world, Cotswold chocolate company and Cotswold wildlife park.

The success of the fundraiser has inspired Claire to organise a charity event in September, which she is currently finalising details for.
