THE efforts of a long-serving member of staff at a Cotswolds school were marked with a special celebration.
On Wednesday, June 22, pupils and staff at Kitebrook House School, in Moreton, joined together to honour Marj Bishop with a special lunch in the school grounds.
Mrs Bishop has been "working her magic" behind the scenes at Kitebrook for more than 35 years, said enrichment teacher Emma Kropf.
"First, starting as a cleaner, Marj leapt at the opportunity to become the shepherdess for the school’s Jacob’s Sheep," she said.
"Working for the founding headmistress, Anne McDermott, Marj looked after the school’s small holding.
"Although this meant a 4am start during the lambing season, Marj reminisces with great fondness.
"Since then, she has worked tirelessly as housekeeper, always making the school sparkle."
