CONTEMPORARY artist JeremyHoughton who has been artist in residence for the Queen and the Prince of Wales, will support WellChild in his next exhibition in Broadway.

Mr Houghton, based in the village, has been artist in residence at Windsor Castle and Highgrove as well as for Aston Martin and the Olympic Games among his many achievements.

His latest exhibition will take place at Trinity House, Broadway in the Cotswolds from June 9 to 16 to coincide with the fourth biennial Broadway Arts Festival which begins on June 3. A proportion of the proceeds will go to fund WellChild’s work with seriously ill children and their families in the UK.

Mr Houghton said: “I’m delighted to have started a working relationship with the Wellchild charity. Having spent many years working with children I’m very grateful that I’m now in a position to help raise funds and promote awareness of their excellent cause. This exhibition is a bit of a retrospective from the various residencies that I have done over the past few years. I hope it will be the first of many events we do together.”

WellChild chief executive Colin Dyer said: “We are grateful to Jeremy Houghton for his support for WellChild in his latest exhibition and it’s good to know that some of the proceeds from the sale of his brilliant work will go to support seriously ill children and their families in the UK.”
