HALF term is in the bag at Sudeley Castle as it prepares to host two events to provide fun for all ages.

The family fun day is back on Sunday May 29 from 10am when the grounds and gardens groan under the weight of giant outdoor games, inflatables, costumed characters, Punch and Judy and history and time-travel shows.

Donkey rides will also be available for the children and Gloucestershire Constabulary Brass Band will provide some live entertainment.

On Wednesday June 1 Medieval mayhem will return with the popular children’s Wednesday event. Knights school will be back with junior jousting and wooden sword fighting, whilst princesses can enjoy a makeover and flower tiara craft.

For something a little extra special, the best costumed prince and princess will be chosen by the queen and her ladies in waiting and given a prize on the terrace at 2pm.

Visitor services manager, Sian Jocelyn, said: “Our half-term activities are always popular. With so many different things to do, you could easily spend the whole day here and still not manage to see it all.

“We can’t wait to see our stunning grounds packed full of families enjoying a great summer day out.”

All of this is included with general admission price or 12-month pass tickets. The events are being held from 10am to 4pm and tickets can be booked online at www.sudeleycastle.co.uk
