CARERS and staff at a Bourton-on-the-Water care home are stepping out in style to raise money for a friendly bar and cafe as part of their dementia care.
The members of Kemble household, at Jubilee Lodge Care Home, have organised a sponsored five-mile fancy dress walk on Saturday, May 21, and will be setting off at around 10.30am. The route will take in Bourton lakes and through the village centre.
Activities coordinator Dawn Dewe said the walk had been organised to coincide with Dementia Awareness Week: "We feel these changes will enhance the wellbeing of the individuals who live there and also family and friends when they visit.
People are also being invited drop in for an afternoon tea at 2.30pm.
