A TWENTY-one-year-old Broadway man has been killed in a motorcycle accident in Warwick Road, Stratford-upon-Avon.

Daryl John Owen, was heading away from Stratford towards Warwick on his motorbike when he was in collision with a coach travelling in the opposite direction near to the entrance of the Stratford Manor Hotel. He died at the scene.

The crash happened at around 2.05pm on Wednesday November 18. Warwickshire Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash or from anyone who had seen any of the vehicles leading up to it. They are asked to call 101 with incident number 230 of November 18.

Mr Owen was a third year student at Loughborough University where he was studying mechanical engineering. He had lived in Broadway since the age of three and attended St Mary's RC Primary School, in the village. He later went to St Benedict's School, in Alcester, and completed his A-levels at Chipping Campden School. The Evesham and Cotswold Journals will publish a tribute to him in next week's papers.
