A MOTORCYCLIST has died following a crash in the north Cotswolds.

A group of bikers were riding on the B4632 between Mickleton and Weston-sub-Edge near the border of Warwickshire and Worcestershire at about 2.50pm on Saturday, July 4 when one of the riders collided with a black Audi.

The rider of the silver Honda bike, a 41-year-old man from Bicester, Oxfordshire, was killed.

Shortly afterwards the Audi, which was being driven by a 20-year-old London woman, also collided with a white Kawasaki motorcycle.

The rider of the second bike, a 40-year-old Oxfordshire man, suffered a shoulder injury and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.

The road was closed for about five hours while police carried out an investigation.

Police are appealing to any witnesses to the collision or who travelled the route around the time of the collision to call 101 and quote incident 354 of 4 July.

Officers would particularly like to hear from anyone who may have recorded any video footage which may help in the investigation.
