COTSWOLD Decorative and Fine Arts Society will have a lecture on June 10 titled “The History of the Harp’ by Sarah Deere-Jones.
Using illustrations from carvings, wall paintings, pottery, mosaics, sculpture, stained glass, illuminated manuscripts and 18th and 19th century paintings, this lecture traces the history of one of the world’s most ancient and beloved musical instruments.
Lectures take place at Bradwell Village Hall, Burford and begin at 11am with coffee and tea available from 10.15am to10.45am. Non-member are very welcome, no need to book, (suggested donation £8).
