NEXT month will see Tewkesbury’s town centre come alive with an array of delicious food and craft stalls as the High Street Food and Arts Market returns on Saturday May 16.

Located on Tewkesbury High Street from 9am to 5pm, there is set to be lots of mouth-watering treats on offer to try and buy.

Organised by Cotswolds Market Ltd, the event will boast over 60 stallholders - from award-winning cheese, wine and cider makers, bakers and farmers, to local artists and crafts people, who will also be on hand to showcase their work.

Dave Joynes of Cotswold Markets Ltd said: “We are pleased to announce the return of these markets for 2015 - with the first taking place on Saturday, 16 May. These events represent an excellent opportunity to promote the town and we are looking forward to seeing the high street buzzing with producers and visitors to Tewkesbury.”

While in town, visitors can make a day of it and enjoy a spot of retail therapy in the High Street, visit one of the many town centre attractions or take a break in one of the town’s eateries, coffee houses or tea shops.

During the market event, Tewkesbury High Street will be closed to traffic between the Church Street and Quay Street junctions. This closure will be from midnight on Friday, 15 May to midnight on Saturday, 16 May and local diversions will be put in place along Oldbury Road.

Further High Street Food and Arts Markets have also been planned for the summer and autumn, on Saturday 25 July and Saturday 24 October.

This year is set to be a bustling one for food and art lovers in Tewkesbury with the successful monthly farmers’ markets continuing, the return of these food and arts high street markets and of course the re-launch of the food festival in July.

Members of the public are encouraged to make sure these dates are in the diary.
