MUSIC for the very young is the topic of a concert being presented at Chipping Campden Music Festival on Saturday May 16.
Lilliput Concert is aimed at introducing children up to the age of four years to high quality classical music.
The concert is coming to Chipping Campden for the second year running and features horn duos Laura Morris and Laura Tanner.
Education Officer Micaela Schmitz said: “Last year we held our first Lilliput Concert in Chipping Campden and it was well attended and received. We are happy to have another stellar team of musicians who are experienced in presenting to children, and indeed to audiences of all ages. We hope to have a similar concert in November to coincide with Nursery Rhyme Week.”
For several years now, the festival has offered free workshops to local nurseries and playgroups, and the Lilliput concerts are yet another way to reach out to young families who often find attending evening concerts hard to manage.
The concert takes place at the Old Police Station, in the high street at 10.30am.
Tickets cost £5 for each adult-child pair, £3 per additional sibling and £10 for a family pass.
