A SHIPSTON man is to be sentenced after being found guilty of three counts of fraud by false representation.

Kevin Crellin, aged 51, of Banbury Road, Sibford Gower, first appeared at Oxford Crown Court on December 23, last year.

He was charged with two counts of dishonestly asking for donations from members of the public between February 28 and April 1, 2012, and between January 31, 2012, and March 1, 2012.

The money was asked for online in relation to an injured pilot who had suffered in a flying accident.

Crellin was also alleged to have dishonestly offered flying lessons between May 31, 2012 and July 1, 2012 at Hinton Airfield, Northamptonshire.

A case management hearing was held at Oxford Crown Court on March 17 last year where Crellin entered not guilty pleas.

He was found guilty at his trial on February 24 this year of all counts and will be sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on March 30.
