GLOUCESTERSHIRE College has appointed Tinies nurseries to provide onsite childcare for their staff, students and local community members.

Staff receive reduced childcare costs on their three main campuses based in Cheltenham, Gloucester and the Forest of Dean.

The college, which offers a variety of education and training programmes for a range of ages, now offers nannies, mobile crèches and babysitting services at discounted rates for staff. Also, any student under the age of 20 could receive funding to cover the costs through the government body, Care to Learn, if they meet the requirements.

By having a nursery available on campus it encourages flexible working hours, adds support for mothers and fathers returning to work after having a child and helps students continue with their education.

Shelly McCatty, Representative for Gloucestershire College said: “Gloucestershire College is delighted to have awarded Tinies the contract to manage its nurseries in Cheltenham and Gloucester, as it has an excellent reputation for high standards of care. It already operates 25 childcare facilities and has 30 recruitment branches across the UK; placing more nursery nurses, managers and nannies than any other.”

The college welcomes over 5,000 full-time students and over 10,000 part-time students each year whilst employing 1,250 members of staff across their campuses.

Lindsey Doe, Director of Tinies comments: “This is a big move for Gloucestershire College and highlights their dedication to supporting their staff and students who are parents. By offering affordable and easy-to-access childcare, whether that is pre-arranged or in an emergency, Gloucestershire College are showing that they care for those attending, in whatever capacity that maybe, and we are thrilled to offer our services in this way.”

Tinies has been operating for over 30 years, helping parents find the right childcare for them. Safety is their first concern so all child carers are rigorously screened and interviewed with a thorough approval process.
