NORTH Oxfordshire residents, patients and carers are being invited to discuss adult mental health service provision with the North Oxfordshire Locality Group.

The public forum will also invite discussion on plans for Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group to engage in joint commissioning of primary care in North Oxfordshire.

Health providers of mental health services in Oxfordshire and commissioners developing joint plans for commissioning primary care services will be at the meeting to explain their role and plans for the benefit of local patients and their families.

At the meeting people will be able to hear about the services adults with mental health conditions and their carers use to help them cope with their conditions and then share their views. Plans to engage in joint commissioning of primary care services for Oxfordshire will also be shared by Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group, with an opportunity for people to give feedback on the plans.

Anita Higham, chair of North Oxfordshire Public Forum, said: “We would welcome North Oxfordshire residents at this meeting. This is your opportunity to share your thoughts on local services and plans to develop them so they can provide a quality service for communities in the north of the county.”

The event is taking place on Wednesday January 28 between 2.30pm and 4.30pm at the Dupuis Centre, St John the Evangelist Church Banbury.
