A MORETON couple who have had a collection tin for Marie Curie Cancer Care in their specialist sweet and chocolate shop since 2001 have handed over the cash they
have collected in that time.
Jeanne and Peter Morris, who own Sweet Thoughts, in Old Town, have donated more than £6,300 to the charity from the sale of books and trays of toffee.
The couple took over the shop almost 25 years ago and next week are retiring and handing over the reins to another couple who have bought the business as a going concern.
Mr and Mrs Morris will continue to live in Pebworth.
They have been thanked by Marie Curie who said their efforts will fund 316 hours of home nursing care for people with terminal illnesses.
