THIS weekend's Christmas festival at Lower Swell Village Hall will provide the perfect opportunity for the coffee morning regulars to show off their latest award.
The group recently received the "Village and Community Agent Group Award" by Gloucester County Council to a lunch club or social group that is welcoming, friendly and inclusive.
The festival will include stalls selling Christmas gifts and food, Santa's grotto with presents for the children, a mince pie challenge, carol concert with Swells Village Choir, marshmallow toasting, barbecue, tombola, mulled wine and cakes.
The group will be selling Christmas cards on the day showing scenes of Upper and Lower Swell by local artist John Dickinson.
The festival takes place on Sunday November 30 from 3pm and all profits go towards the upkeep of the village hall.
