A LOCAL charity supporter has make a sick child's dream come true by organising a performance car driving experience.

Bill Chatterton, from Chipping Norton, had been given a Supercar Passenger Ride pass from Vision Motorsport. Mr Chatterton had heard about the Starlight Children's Foundation which grants wishes to very sick children and inquired if they could make use of the pass.

Starlight was able to tell him that a 13-year-old boy called Keir Thompson, from Penrith, in Cumbria, had said his biggest wish was to drive a Lamborghini sports car.

The charity was able to organise for Keir, who suffers from cystic fibrosis, and his family to travel to Vision Motorsport at Chipping Norton where he was met by Mr Chatterton. Keir got to ride in a Lamborghini Gallardo and also an Atom that goes from 0 to 60mph in under three seconds. He also had a visit to Heythrop Zoological Gardens.

Keir's mum Paula said: “We had a wonderful weekend, Keir has been bursting with happiness. I can’t thank everyone enough who was involved in making Keir’s dreams come true. Bill Chatterton was such a kind man to donate his driving pass and Vision Motorsport were kind to let Keir ride in two different sports cars; he loved both of them."
