THE ruins of Sudeley Castle are the venue for an evening of Christmas carols when proceeds raised will go towards Winchcombe Day Care Centre and Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice.

The event will start with festive music from harpist Pam Ferris, who will be joined by 10-year-old Caitlin Robbins of the National Youth Choir for a solo performance of ‘Silent Night’.

The Winchcombe Community Choir and Move On Up Community Choir, Pershore, will then perform a set of traditional Christmas songs before leading the Christmas carols sing-along.

There will be Christmas art created by the children of Winchcombe playgroup on display, and festive refreshments.

Tickets cost £5 per person (under 5s free) and will be available on the door or in advance from Sudeley Castle on 01242 602308 (during office hours) and Wychwood Trading in Bull Lane, Winchcombe. Tickets bought in advance are non-refundable due to the nature of the charitable event.

The event takes place on December 19 from 6.30pm.
