THERE will be lots of traditional fun on offer when the annual village fete takes place in Westcote, near Bourton, on Saturday, August 30.

The event runs from 2pm until 6pm and organisers are promising a varied line-up of events and attractions with something to suit people of all ages and tastes.

Christine Walford, of the Westcote Village Hall committee, said: "Our famous bric-a-brac marquee will open at 2pm prompt and no doubt people will be queuing to get in as usual."

Folk band Hullabelloo will be playing throughout the afternoon and refreshments will include a barbecue and tea and cakes served in the village hall.

There will also be a fun dog show, with registration at 2pm, and a host of stalls and gamesbefore the event ends with the traditional Church versus Nether Westcote tug o' war.
