A MAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries after crashing into a fallen tree near Bourton.
Emergency services were called just after 2.15am today (Wednesday) to A429 Stow Road after a van crashed into a large tree which has fallen across the road.
Two fire crews from Stow and two crews and a rapid response vehicle from South Western Ambulance Service attended to assist police at the scene.
A man was cut out of the car by crews and taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
The road was closed for about an hour while the incident was cleared and the tree was chopped up and removed by Gloucestershire highways.
