ORGANISERS of the Oddington Fete have managed to trace the winner who failed to claim his prize in the last class of the dog show.
As previously reported, 'Oddington’s Top Dog' was won by a young boy and his little terrier, Diddy, but he did not come forward to receive his prize.
But following an appeal in the Cotswold Journal, the winner, nine-year-old Charles Gardener, of Chipping Norton, has now received his trophy after his Grandma, who is an avid reader, read the story and contacted fete organisers.
Sue Watkin said: "Now Charles and Diddy have been presented with the trophy and the moment has been recorded for posterity.
"And they’ll be back at Oddington’s Village Fete on June 28th next year as defending champions."
