YOUNGSTERS at Blockley Primary School were taught the tricks of the circus when an entertainer visited the school as part of a Moreton Show Society education visit.

During the school assembly, entertainer Thomas Trilby wowed the staff and children by performing various tricks involving juggling and spinning plates.

Each year, Moreton Show Society holds a special visit for local school children with the aim of providing fun and interactive sessions.

Sally Lawton, from Moreton Show Office, said: “It was lovely to see the children enjoy the workshops and to see their progress throughout the sessions.

"We are looking forward to welcoming Thomas to the new Family Fun area on Show Day”.

Head teacher Linda Jeffcutt, said: “It was really great to see the children having so much fun. Tom taught the children to spin plates, juggle and they even managed to ride the uni-cycles…with help and support from their friends.

"The circus skills really did reinforce our work in Fizzy, which is a programme that we use to help co-ordination and motor skills”.

Thomas Trilby will be offering free circus workshops in the new Family Fun Area at Moreton Show on Saturday, September 6.

He will be joined in the area by The World’s Tallest Bubbleologist who will be mingling through the crowds, children’s rides and free workshops in Performing Arts and Dance.

Moreton Show Tickets are now available to buy online at moretonshow.co.uk or via one of the many local ticket outlets.
