FOODIES will be in their element with the chance to meet, sample and buy produce from some of the Cotswolds’ best food and drink heroes at an event near Bourton.

In celebration of its suppliers, The Wheatsheaf Inn, Northleach, is hosting The Farmer’s Feast on Saturday, September 20.

The18th century coaching inn is holding a Feast lunch from 12.30pm and a Feast dinner from 6pm, served at long trestle tables within a Indian Tipi in its gardens.

Visitors can meet all the pub's suppliers on the day including New Wave Seafood, Cotswold Curer, Macaroni Farm Lamb, Butts Farm Rare Breads and Neals Yard Dairy.

There will be live music from KSH and The Going Goods, Flat & Sharps and Stomping Dave and children will be able to meet farm animals.

Sam and Georgie Pearman, Wheatsheaf owners, will be overseeing the day alongside The Wheatsheaf’s in-house teamwho will also be manning The Wheatsheaf’s own food stall.

“The Farmer’s Feast offers a unique opportunity to meet, sample and buy produce from some of the Cotswolds’ highest quality food and drink heroes, alongside local artisan exhibitors keen to share the story of their products,” said Mr Pearman.

“I’m delighted to be able to put on this great day for everyone to enjoy celebrating wonderful produce and live music within a fabulous setting.”

Tickets are from £35 per head and all proceeds will go to The Duchenne Children’s Trust, set up by Emily and Nick Crossley, after their son, Eli was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
