PLANS for up to 90 homes in Mickleton have not gone down well with Chipping Campden Town Council.

Outline proposals by Gladman Developments Ltd to build on the land parcel off Broad Marston Road including access, parking, public open space, landscaping and associated infrastructure have been submitted to Cotswold District Council.

Councillor Michael Haines, chairman of the planning committee, told councillors at last week’s meeting they were “strongly objecting” to the application.

“We voted in favour of objecting very strongly on the grounds of overdevelopment, lack of infrastructure, unsustainability and access concerns and the volumes of traffic,” he said.

“We strongly oppose this application.”
