SHIPSTON Age Concern has made a desperate appeal for more volunteers.
The charity, which organises lunch clubs and outings for older residents in Shipston and district, receives no outside funding and relies entirely on volunteers to help with its services.
The Trustees are anxious to recruit new volunteers, either to assist with the lunch clubs or to accompany members on regular monthly trips to places of interest in the local area.
Secrectary Pauline Carr said: "If we don’t get some extra volunteers soon we may have to cancel some of the services which we offer to these elderly residents, which will be a great pity as they enjoy it so much and look forward to the companionship that the lunch clubs and outings offer."
Anyone interested in coming along to the lunch clubs which are held weekly in Shipston, or would like to join us as a volunteer, call Gill Roache on 01295 680309 or email Gillian.Roache@stratford-dc.gov.uk.
