THERE has been 23 crimes in Stow over the last three months, according to the latest police report.

Reading it out on behalf of the local policing team at this month's Stow Town Council meeting, clerk Robin Dix said there had been seven burglaries, 13 thefts, two cases of fraud and one incident of criminal damage.

"There was a slight fall of one crime compared with the same period in 2013," he said. "Crime trends show there's a seasonal peak over the summer period so everyone is encouraged to remain vigilant."
