MUSIC lovers can enjoy a host of concerts featuring world-renowned performers at the 44th music festival in Guiting Power.

This year’s festival which runs from Friday until Sunday, August 3 opens with pianist Ivan Yanakov conducting The London Chamber Players.

Four-hands piano with Charles Owen and Katya Apekisheva is taking place on Saturday followed by the first open air concert on Sunday on the playing field at 1pm with Jason Rebello Quintet, supported by gypsy jazz band, Swing from Paris.

Other performers include classical guitarist Morgan Szymanski, a piano recital by Sophia Lisovskaya and violinist Jennifer Pike, the youngest ever winner 12 years ago of the BBC Young Musician of the Year.

The last indoor concert on Saturday, August 2, features pianist, Imogen Cooper, who will be performing a selection of Schumann, Brahms and Schubert.

Bringing the festival to a close with an open air folk concert, is Steeleye Span’s former lead guitarist, Peter Knight with his band GIgspanner.
