A MEMORIAL plaque is set to be installed in Moreton to honour all those who died in the First World War.
It follows a request from Kit Havelock-Davies, chairman of the Moreton Business Association and organiser of Moreton Art Weeks.
The memorial stone and brass plaque, which will be installed in the war graves area at Moreton cemetery, is to be a lasting legacy of the "Heroes of Moreton: We Remember Them" exhibition which is part of the three-week festival.
Speaking at Monday night's town council meeting, clerk Heather Sipthorp said she would ask permission from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission.
Members voted in favour of the stone which will be funded by Moreton district Councillor Rod Hooper's budget.
