A MAN had to go to hospital with a cut to the head after an assault in Chipping Norton.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following the incident which happened at about 12.30am yesterday (Monday).
A 24-year-old man was assaulted in Churchill Road and received a cut to the head, possibly caused by a sharp object, which required hospital treatment.
It is believed the offender got into a car following the assault and drove off.
No one has been arrested yet.
Investigating officer Detective Inspector Steve Raffield said: “We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault, or who has any information on the incident.
“If you have any information, please contact us immediately on 101.”
