POLICE are linking a series of attempted burglaries and thefts in the Chipping Norton, Oxford and Middle Barton areas of the county.

A number of incidents were committed involving people entering unlocked vehicles and garages, entering houses and stealing items such as sat navs, loose cash and mobile phones overnight from midnight on June 30 to 3.30am on July 1.

Thames Valley Police are linking a number of incidents including an attempted burglary at a house in Park Road, Chipping Norton and two burglaries of a unsecure garages in Park Road.

There were also two separate thefts from vehicles in Marlborough Road and Park Road where thieves entered an unsecured car and stole property along with a further theft from a vehicle in Park Road, where an unsecured car was entered and searched.

An unsecure car was entered and searched in Crossway, Middle Barton, and again in Frances Road.

Police are also investigating a theft of a silver Vauxhall Astra car from Grebe Close, Oxford between 9pm and midnight on June 20 and theft of number plates from a vehicle in Westbury Crescent, Oxford, between 9pm and midnight on June 30.
