THE chairman of Bourton Parish Council said they were "really pleased" with the response from residents supporting their application to protect an area in the village.
Members voted in their March meeting to designate Manor Fields as a Local Green Space within the local plan.
Councillors are keen to protect the area which they have previously described as being "peaceful".
Since launching a petition in May, the council had received up to 300 responses in support of their application.
Speaking at this month's meeting, Councillor Bryan Sumner said: "We're really pleased with the response we've had from residents."
Any final responses must be taken into the parish council office by Friday, July 18.
