SEVERN Trent Water has finished work to help make Ilmington’s water supply more reliable.
The £60,000 investment to replace water pipes in the Warwickshire village should significantly reduce the number of bursts and leaks in the area.
Jonathan Tait, from Severn Trent, said: "One of the main water pipes in the area had been serving the community for many years.
"This means it had become old and prone to bursting, and there was a good chance it could have interrupted our customers’ water supply."
To help prevent this happening, a new water pipe, which is around 140 metres long, has been laid to replace the old one.
