WITH Father’s Day just around the corner, Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe has planned a special day out to celebrate.
The popular attraction is hosting a ‘country pursuits’ themed day just for dads on Sunday, June 15, offering free activities including rifle shooting, off-road buggies, falconry and crazy golf.
And the Terrace Café will be providing a dad-friendly menu of local beer, curry and pulled pork baps.
Entry to the event, which runs from 10am to 4pm, is included with general admission price or season tickets.
For the 2014 season the castle has opened even more of the family’s private rooms, some of which have never been seen by the public before.
The additional rooms now open include the Major’s Dressing Room, the Morning Room, the Sewing Room and the Haunted Staircase, as well as private bedrooms.
Other highlights include a unique Katherine Parr exhibition, along with an owlery, pheasantry and adventure playground.
