THERE is still time for residents and businesses affected by flooding to apply for grants under two Government schemes.
Cotswold District Council is reminding people whose properties were damaged between late December last year and March 31, they can apply for up to £5,000 in the repair and renew scheme to install property protection measures that will reduce or minimise the risk of future flooding.
The Business Support Scheme also offers up to £2,500 for businesses affected by the flooding to help cover non-insurable costs which could include insurance excess costs, loss of stock, clean-up costs and loss of trade.
The deadline for applications for the repair and renew scheme is December 31 while the deadline for the Business Support Scheme is Wednesday, June 18.
Businesses and householders that may qualify for either or both of the above schemes can register their interest online at cotswold.gov.uk, by calling 01285 623000 or emailing floodgrant@cotswold.gov.uk.
