A GLOUCESTERSHIRE military charity has launched an appeal to raise £500,000 for injured service personnel.

Army of Angels, based in Dairy Way, Tewkesbury, is hoping to raise the cash within a year and is asking people for a £1 donation.

The charity provides direct and indirect support to members of the UK's armed forces who have been injured, physically or mentally, while serving their country in conflicts around the world.

It also support their families and co-dependents along with all those who have fought for their country including veterans of the wars in Europe, the Far East, the Falklands and the Gulf.

Jack Sklenar, fundraising manager, said: "With Army of Angels being the sole forces Charity in Gloucestershire, it is vital that the Gloucestershire public support their cause.

"Army of Angels provides direct assistance to Britain’s injured service men and women."

The campaign is solely online. Visit everydayhero.co.uk/event/Mission11 for details or for more information call Army of Angels on 01684 274577 or email info@armyofangels.org.uk.
