A MAN charged in connection with the death of a teenager has been refused bail.

Grant Clemens, of Stockwells, Moreton, is accused of assisting an offender and has been in custody since February.

Connor Tremble, aged 17, was found stabbed in his flat in Fairacres Road, Iffley Fields, on February 13, but died at the John Radcliffe Hospital the following Saturday.

William Blencowe, 20, of Oxford Road, Banbury, is in custody and has been charged with murder.

Clemens, 23, was refused bail at the hearing today (Tuesday) at a hearing at Oxford Crown Court and will appear again for a plea hearing on Friday, May 30.

Meanwhile, a third man charged in connection with the fatal stabbing, has also appeared in court.

Bradley Jones, 21, of New Road, Bledington, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on April 14 accused of perverting the course of justice.

He was released on conditional bail and is due to appear at Oxford Crown Court on April 28.
