ANYONE who has downloaded a free mobile application helping people decide whether or not need to visit A&E is being asked for feedback on the service.

The Is A&E For Me? app was launched last November as part of a national campaign working to ease the pressure on emergency departments and has since been downloaded more than 800 times.

The free app is compatible with Apple and Android devices and provides instant information about alternative services in the area.

A recent survey found 83 per cent of people who had downloaded the app had found it useful and would use it again but the three Worcestershire CCGs would like to hear more from anyone who has used it.

Urgent care lead for the county’s three CCGs Ruth Davoll said: “The app is a really practical and informative way of finding out information about local health services in Worcestershire wherever you are and we’re keen to hear some real life case studies in order to help us promote the benefits of the app.

“Due to the number of app downloads that we have already seen we’re aware that there is already a good level of awareness of the campaign, but we really want to spread the message further, to make sure that everyone in the county knows what health services are available to them.”

Feedback can be sent to ccgcomms@worcestershire.nhs.uk or via Twitter to @IsAEforme.
