Easter bunny hopping on the GWR
Updated 12:22pm Tuesday 15th April 2014 in News
IT will be a special occasion for youngsters visiting the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway (GWSR) on Easter Monday.
There will be an egg-citing combination of steam trains, the Easter Bunny and a host of activities for all the family.
Boarding the 'Easter Eggspress' specials from Cheltenham Racecourse or from Toddington will take visitors to Toddington where the Easter Bunny will be hopping around making friends.
Colin Fewell, volunteer commercial director of the GWSR, said: "The fluffy giant rabbit will be there to greet visitors - a great photo opportunity.
"There’s lots of fun too, for everyone - with plenty of prizes to be won. Competitions include egg and spoon racing, Easter egg rolling and lots of craft activities to enjoy.
"Of course, the impressive model railway layouts will be in action, and no Easter event would be complete without an Easter egg hunt now, would it?"
The railway is also running an Easter Bonnet competition which has been a popular feature in previous years. For details and times, visit gwsr.com.
