THERE are no changes to waste collections over Easter, Cotswold District Council has announced.
The council's waste collection company, Ubico Ltd, will be collecting waste and recycling from households on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
They will also be collecting from households on the public holidays which fall on Monday, May 5 and Monday, May 26.
Scott Williams, Strategic Client Officer of the Joint Waste Team, said: “Easter and the May bank holidays bring many families together and tend to generate more waste than usual, so we would appreciate it very much if residents could take maximum advantage of the recycling collection services we offer.
"In particular, we have noticed that there is a marked upturn in the amount of food and garden waste at this time of year, and the more that is recycled the less we will need to send to landfill – this all helps to preserve the environment and also reduces costs for taxpayers.”
