A 12-year-old boy was airlifted to hospital after he was badly injured while playing rugby in Shipston.
The youngster, who was playing for visiting team Berkswell & Balsall, suffered a spinal pain in a ruck while playing a match at Shipston Rugby Club on Sunday morning.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called just before 11.40am to the Mayo Road club along with the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA).
He was treated on scene by a paramedic from Shipston who was first on scene, followed by a community first responder and an ambulance crew before being taken to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire.
Tom Jervis, chairman of mini and junior rugby, said: "He's recovered fully. It was just a concussion and a compression of the neck. There's not going to be any lasting damage."
All matches were cancelled and the pitches cleared following the incident, so the air ambulance could land.
