THIS year's the Winchcombe Cotswolds Walking Festival is celebrating its fifth year with a wide range of walks and interesting topics.

There are 22 events taking place over three days from Friday, May 16 to Sunday, May 18 from short walks to 14-mile treks.

Walkers can enjoy an airy walk across some of the quieter areas of Cleeve Common and look at rare plants and habitats with a Conservation officer or a ramble along secluded paths to a watermill, through small hamlets, along part of the Cotswold Way and see the highest gravity fed fountain close up.

Other walks will take in the sights of Sudeley Castle, Winchcombe's history and its links to the Great War and a guided tour of Huntsmans Quarry .

And this year a new way-marked route called the Isbourne Way is due to appear with more details to follow.
