A PRIMARY school in the Cotswolds has launched its new school motto which encourages pupils to be creative while caring for others.
'Enquiring minds, caring hearts, creative hands’ is the new motto of St. David’s C of E Primary School , in Moreton.
It encapsulates what is important to the pupils, staff, governors and parents, that children attending the school will become life-long learners who are curious about the world around them and are creative in their exploits while caring for others and themselves.
Headteacher Faye Heming said: "‘Devising the new school motto has been a collaborative venture between the whole school community.
"If we want our children to live out the meaning of the school motto, then they need to believe in it, which is why the children’s view were central to the process."
The school motto is supported by the school’s 12 Christian values which include perseverance, compassion, respect, hope, courage, justice and trust.
Karen Harding, RE leader, added: "The school motto, combined with the Christian values, will provide a strong basis from which the children will develop into responsible, thoughtful, active members of society."
