MEMBERS of the Chipping Norton single file group were bowled over when they paid a visit to Chipping Norton Bowls Club.
Eight members dropped in on March 6 and enjoyed being introduced to the game of indoor bowls.
They were given a two hour coaching session and given the chance to try their hand at indoor bowling by members of the coaching staff .
Founded in 2009, Single File (Chipping Norton) is a social group for unattached 50 to 70-year-olds who enjoy a programme of social activities with an aim of developing friendships.
President Tony Backer-Holst said: "We were very pleased to entertain the group from single file and that they enjoyed the afternoon at the club.
"Hopefully a number of them will be joining us in the future and becoming involved with bowls both indoor and outdoor."
