TOURISM businesses across Gloucestershire are being offered free expert advice and support in an ‘Open for Business’ conference.

Organised by Tewkesbury Borough Council on behalf of Cotswold Tourism, the conference is taking place at Ellenborough Park, in Cheltenham, on Wednesday.

As part of the Government-backed extreme weather recovery programme, the conference is open to all tourism related businesses across Gloucestershire.

The event will run from 9am until 3pm, and will include a morning programme of presentations from leading experts followed by an informal afternoon session of business advice and networking. Refreshments and lunch will be provided free of charge.

Supported by Visit England, the conference has been devised to help businesses that have been affected directly and indirectly as a result of the extreme weather, including flood and storm damage, as well as those that have concerns about forward bookings for Easter and the summer.

The conference will provide free professional advice on a range of helpful topics including: • Social media and digital marketing • Business planning and business continuity • How to turn crisis into a PR opportunity • Customer care and customer service • Marketing and your marketing messages • Trading legally • Managing your finances

To book a free place, businesses should email cotswoldtourism@tewkesbury.gov.uk or phone 01684 272096.
