BEER and curry will go hand in hand as Shipston Food Festival organisers and Shipston Rugby Club team up to launch a new festival.
The Shipston Beer and Curry Festival will be held on Friday, September 19 in the Mayo Road rugby ground in Shipston, with food, live music and family activities, games and sports.
Supported by local breweries and produce suppliers, the event is kicking of the second Shipston Food Fesitval on Sunday, September 21 which promotes cookery, food and local food producers in the North Cotswolds and South Warwickshire.
The Beer and Curry Festival was announced at the rugby club last Saturday during a Vice President’s Day gathering ahead of the club’s crucial and ultimately victorious fixture against Cheltenham North RFC.
Dan Scobie, Shipston Food Festival organiser, said: “Following last year’s successes we wanted to extend the Food Festival to benefit more of the community.
"It’s fantastic to be working with Shipston Rugby Club to deliver another exciting event for the town”.
