PEOPLE in Chipping Norton have been asked to comment on proposals on how to tidy up a "tatty" recreation ground in the town.
The town council is holding a public consultation today (Wednesday) in the town hall to showcase plans to smarten up the New Street recreation ground.
Plans include a path from the top of the children's play area, pavement around the equipment and some new play equipment.
And part of it could even be turned into a skatepark.
The Recreation Committee have a budget of £20,000 to carry out the work after the town council decided to raise its precept by 37 per cent at its December meeting, the first rise in two years.
Mayor Mike Tysoe said the play area was "pretty grotty" and needed some attention.
"It's tatty," he said. "It's in need of a facelift."
If the public are in favour of the plans, the work will be carried out in three phases.
