THIS year's Moreton Art Weeks is running an exhibition to commemorate the centenary of the First World War - and needs help from the public.

Following the success of the inaugural event last year, the festival of exhibitions and events around the town is being extended by a week and will run fromSaturday, July 5 to Sunday, July 27.

As part of the three-week celebrations organised by Moreton Business Association, there will be an exhibition of photography of the people from Moreton who were directly involved with the conflict.

One of the group's members, Adam Wood, can restore and re-touch of old photographs and has offered his services to help bring any photographs back to prime condition.

The association is now trying to find families of any men mentioned on the Moreton and Batsford Memorial Monument or any families of men from the wider local area who survived the conflict to come forward.

Anyone with photos from this period or a photo or anecdote of a family member they would like included in the exhibition should call Kit Havelock-Davies on 01608 650727 or email wold.galleries@virgin.net.
