MORE than 300 people flocked to hear about the conspiracy theories surrounding the Moon Landings at a recent Ogden Trust Annual Public Lecture in Chipping Campden.
Chipping Campden School hosted the annual lecture for the second year, as it is one of the trust's regional hub schools.
The Ogden Trust is the leading science body for the development and delivery of high quality physics.
Guest speaker, Anu Ojha, Director of the National Space Academy captivated the audience with topics ranging from the conspiracy theories surrounding the Moon Landings and 9/11 attacks.
He even spoke about the bizarre theories put forward by David Icke involving high profile public figures belonging to an Alien Master Race.
Jackie Flaherty, head of Physics at Chipping Campden School and Ogden Teacher Fellow responsible for coordinating physics-based enrichment activities across the Cotswold cluster for secondary schools, said: “Questions to the speaker at the end showed that he had really got the audience thinking about the role of science in society and the importance of critical thinking in an internet-dominated society.”
Dr Louise Davis, whose children attend the school, said: “The lecture was inspirational - the whole family attended, ranging from age 12 to 73, we all loved it."
