FARMER Adam Henson and his team at the Cotswold Farm Park are celebrating a great start to their new season after winning Farm Attraction of the Year Award 2014.

The National Farm Attractions Network (NFAN) presented the accolade at their annual conference in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, on February 11.

Kate Lord, farm park manager who was presented the award, said: "Judges were particularly impressed with the consistent high standards throughout the attraction and the knowledge and enthusiasm that shone from every member of staff they met.

"I can only echo this praise, I am lucky to work with such a fantastic team, we all take great pride in what we do and it is wonderful to be recognized with such a prestigious award."

Mr Henson added: "We are so proud to have beaten off competition from across the country to win this national award.

"It takes into account every area of the business, so it’s been a real team effort to bring that trophy home to the Cotswolds."

The gates to the Farm Park re-opened to the public for the start of the season last month.

Live lambing will be taking place in the Demonstration Barn until Sunday, April 6, alongside all of the usual activities including bottle feeding, rabbit and chick handling and lots of outdoor fun for all of the family.
